They have PDO or Protected Designation of Origin Status, featuring the official seal of the consortium. These deliciously sun-ripened fleshy tomatoes are a vibrant red color, have a dense texture, and maintain a slightly acidic flavor from the volcanic soil in which they are grown. They are preserved quickly and packed in their own juice to retain their fresh and unique taste.
